Moritz Mosenhauer

Biography

I am a student of the Ph.D. in Economics program at the University of Glasgow under the supervision of Prof. Sayantan Ghosal and Prof. Yiannis Vailakis. My research focus lies in Behavioural Economics. Specifically, I investigate how people allocate their attention using theoretical and empirical methods.

In September 2015, I graduated from the Master in Economics program at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich. My master thesis "(Non-) Salience under cognitive constraints: a theoretical investigation of the boiling frog" was supervised by Professor Florian Englmaier. Before that, I obtained my bachelor degree in East-Asian Economics and Politics from the Ruhr-University in Bochum.

Putthi Cheat Lim

Biography

I am a PhD student in Economics in the University of Glasgow under the supervision of Professor Sayantan Ghosal, Dr Katie Hampson and Dr Tiziana Lembo. The title of my thesis is "Attention Allocation and Mitigation of Disease: Theory and Evidence from Tanzania". The purpose of the thesis is to theoretically model how people allocate attention amongst different tasks and apply it to the problem of Rabies vaccination uptake in Tanzania. Before I started my PhD, I completed a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Bristol and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of East Anglia.

Josue Ortega

Biography

I am a 2nd year Ph.D. student at the University of Glasgow, under the supervision of Hervé Moulin, working in auction theory and stable matching problems. I am also an Associated Member of the UK Institute for Mathematics and its Applications.

In 2014, I graduated with an MSc. from the Vienna Institute for Advanced Studies (IHS), where I wrote my thesis on discrete Vickrey auctions under the supervision of Klaus Ritzberger. Both my thesis paper and its defense obtained the highest grade. Before that, I obtained my bachelor's degree cum laude in Mexico.
